Because of the beauty of the scenery and the quality of the routes Càleda has become one of the most popular crags in all of Veneto. The first routes date back to 1989 and offer a wide variety of difficulties. In 2004 many routes were rebolted with glue-in bolts. Despite becoming popular the area is well preserved. We hope that visiting climbers will do their part so it remains that way.
The rock is Dolomite and is characterized by good friction and positive holds. The climbing is often pumpy on walls that are either vertical or slightly overhanging.
May to September/October is the best time. In Spring there can be a lot of snow at the base. The crag faces west so it gets sun in the afternoon.
